Halloween: 'GMA' Anchors Transform Into Superheroes, 'Today' Goes Country

If you were still groggy when you turned on Good Morning America or The Today Show on Tuesday morning (Oct. 31), you might have felt like you were in the middle of a very, very strange dream. As usual, the anchors and guests on two of America's favorite morning chat shows went all-out for Halloween, with GMA opting for a superheroes theme, while Today went all-country.

On GMA, Robin Roberts started things off as Wonder Woman followed by George Stephanopoulos as Clark Kent and Superman, James Gunn as Baby Groot and Michael Strahan as Thor. Actor Mark Ruffalo stopped by to slip into his Hulk costume (Ruffalo plays Bruce Banner/Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok) and said, "If Marvel and DC can get together, we can solve all the problems in the world."

Over on Today, country legend Reba McEntire played host as she introduced the show's stars, who all paid homage to some of Nashville's brightest lights. First out of the gate was Carson Daly, who slapped on his best mullet wig as Billy Ray Cyrus, only to have the real "Achy Breaky" star join him. Weatherman Al Roker slipped on a long brain wig for his Willie Nelson costume, Megyn Kelly went retro glam as classic Shania Twain, Hoda Kotb slapped on some stubble to approximate Blake Shelton (with The Voice judge popping up behind her in a surprise) and Kathie Lee Gifford got to twerking as Miley Cyrus.

Matt Lauer, of course, dressed in drag as Dolly Parton to duet with Savannah Guthrie's Willie Nelson. The real Twain also stopped by as a surprise dressed in a cat outfit.

Take a look at all the costumes below:
