Jake Owen returned to his Florida hometown and reunited with his best friends on a house boat to set the perfect summertime vibes for his new “On The Boat Again” music video. The country hitmaker premiered it on Wednesday afternoon (August 2).
“I had a blast with some of my hometown, absolute best friends making this video. I’m sure to see y’all on the boat again sometime soon,” Owen wrote in an Instagram caption as he encouraged his social media followers to check out the new video. He added that he grew up with friends Ryan and Rusty, who are featured in the video, since he was about 5 years old. The group used Ryan’s house boat to throw the perfect “On The Boat Again” party.
“On The Boat Again,” a nod to country music legend Willie Nelson’s classic hit “On The Road Again,” is one of 16 tracks to appear on Owen’s Loose Cannon album that released earlier this summer. Owen shared that the project includes songs that “are all over the map, which is really what a loose cannon is, and sort of who I am.” The album also includes “Solo Solo,” “Loose Cannon,” “Hot Truck Beer” and other fan-favorite highlights.
