Bobby Bones and his wife, Caitlin Estell, opened up about parenthood and high-risk pregnancy during a candid Q&A on The BobbyCast.
Bobby and Caitlin welcomed Baby No. 1, daughter Billie Celine Estell, earlier this year. On The BobbyCast, the new parents shared details they’ve never shared publicly as they spoke about how they navigated their journey. Caitlin spoke about her diagnosis with an autoimmune disease in recent years, which she’s treated with oral chemotherapy and led to the determination that her pregnancy was high-risk. Caitlin teared up as she opened up about how she navigated that stress in an emotional moment in the Q&A.
“I have an autoimmune disease that I was diagnosed with three or four years ago, and it has been a really difficult health journey for me,” Caitlin shared during the Q&A. “I've been on medication for quite a while, like an oral chemotherapy pill that I take every day. …Even though I was on that, it was still a high-risk pregnancy.” Caitlin said she had more than 40 ultrasounds while she was pregnant with her daughter, as opposed to “two to three” in “a normal pregnancy. …It was very stress inducing for pretty much my whole pregnancy.”
The new mom said her daughter is OK, and Bobbie remembered, “as soon as she was born and they put her on your chest, you lit up and you’re like, ‘I love her so much. I love her so much.’
Caitlin and Bobbie also spoke about the inspiration behind Billie’s name. She’s named after Caitlin’s father, and Caitlin remembered hearing Billie Holiday’s “I’ll Be Seeing You.” She said, “I just started crying. and for some reason in that moment, I was just like, ‘oh, it has to be Billie.’ Listening to the lyrics gave Caitlin “peace” that “it will all be fine,” and she knew her baby’s name should be Billie. Earlier in the conversation, Caitlin shared, “I just burst with joy every morning. Like I can’t believe that Billie’s here again today, every day.”
Bobbie and Caitlin also shared why they don't intend to publicly share their daughter's face, advice they'd have for first-time parents and more. The couple got married in July 2021 at their Nashville,Tennessee-area home, the iHeartRadio personality shared with PEOPLE at the time. The Bobby Bones Show host announced in September 2025 that he and his wife had a baby on the way. Bobby is one of several members of the country music community to welcome a baby into the family in 2026, along with Luke Combs, Thomas Rhett, Dylan Marlowe (who welcomed twins with his wife) and more. Parker McCollum, Runaway June’s Natalie Stovall, Meghan Patrick and Mitchell Tenpenny, and others are still looking ahead to welcoming babies later this year.
