Museum Revives Creepy Doll Contest

Following a wildly successful contest last Halloween season, a museum in Minnesota is once again holding a competition to crown the creepiest doll in their collection. The brainchild of curators at the History Center of Olmsted County in the community of Rochester, last year's spooky showdown was something of a viral sensation. Although concerns about the coronavirus pandemic initially gave the museum pause when it came to holding another contest, executive director Wayne Gannaway jokingly revealed to a local TV station that strange sounds coming from their storage area ultimately led to the discovery of "some more creepy dolls that demanded to be let out of their boxes so they could save Halloween."

Curators chose nine unnerving pieces (seen below) from their collection to compete for the prize and people can vote on their favorite by way of the museum's Facebook and Instagram accounts. Over the course of the next two weeks, each doll will be showcased on social media with details about their background and construction. More on this story at the Coast to Coast AM website.
